I’m so excited to share some big news with you—my second early reader book in the Penny and Plum Early Readers series has just been released! 🎉

Bright illustrated design featuring Penny, a young girl reading a book, and her piglet Plum. The text announces the release of the new early reader book “Can You Tell Who I Am? Penny & Plum Early Readers,” highlighting reading practice, logic skills, and 3 bonus games.

This book series has been such a special project for me because it was inspired by my own 6-year-old daughter Astrid. Watching her learn to read, get excited about stories, and laugh at silly characters has been the greatest joy. Penny, in many ways, grew out of her spirit and curiosity😊, and writing these stories has been my way of nurturing her love for reading while also creating something other children (and their families) can enjoy together.

📖 The new book is called Can You Tell Who I Am? and it follows Penny and her piglet Plum as they play a hilarious dress-up guessing game. One hides and changes into a costume, while the other must listen carefully to the clues and figure out — “Who are you pretending to be?” It’s interactive, funny, and designed to help young readers build confidence, fluency, and comprehension skills while having fun.

Beyond reading practice, this story also helps children strengthen logic and deduction skills as they use the clues to solve riddles and guess the characters. It encourages kids to think critically while staying fully engaged in the playfulness of the game. Just like the first book, this one uses short sentences, sight words, and playful repetition to make it perfect for early readers ages 4–8. And to keep the fun going after the story ends, it includes 3 new bonus reading games!

Thank you so much for supporting this little series—it means the world to me as both a mom and a beginning writer. I truly hope Penny and Plum bring as much joy to your home (and your little readers) as they bring to mine. 💛
